Laboratory and diagnostic training complex “Surgical access to abdominal organs”

Price: Upon Request

The complex is a universal set of training simulators, surgical tools and methodological manuals to study theoretical material, work out practical skills, and monitor the acquired knowledge in the field of abdominal surgery. The educational and methodical complex includes simulators for practicing skills, a Monoblock placed on a rack, a multifunctional complex with a component storage system, and interactive stands.

The Monoblock and interactive stands are mounted on specialized mobile stands allowing to place the set ergonomically depending on the available space and educational tasks.

The laboratory and diagnostic complex consists of the following equipment for practicing skills and mastering theoretical information:

  • The simulator for practicing laparoscopy techniques, which is an anatomical fragment of the lower part of the human body with the corresponding organs: liver, gallbladder, stomach, pancreas, spleen, duodenum, all parts of the small and large intestine. Practical skills of performing surgical interventions on the abdominal organs with laparoscopic access are developed with the simulator. The simulator is covered with material reproducing the anatomy of the anterior abdominal wall with the corresponding layers: skin, subcutaneous fat, muscles. The simulator provides replaceable abdominal walls: anorexic, obese and in normal condition. The anterior abdominal wall of the simulator is swollen reproducing insufflation process during laparoscopic intervention. Simulator parts are made of material closest possible in properties to human tissues.
  • The simulator for practicing laparotomy skills, which is an anatomical fragment of the lower part of the human body with the corresponding organs: liver, gallbladder, stomach, pancreas, spleen, duodenum, all parts of the small and large intestine. Practical skills of performing surgical interventions on the abdominal organs with laparotomic access are developed with the simulator. The simulator is covered with material reproducing the anatomy of the anterior abdominal wall with the corresponding layers: skin, subcutaneous fat, muscles. The simulator provides replaceable abdominal walls: anorexic, obese and in normal condition. Simulator parts are made of material closest possible in properties to human tissues.
  • Visual aids provided by models of abdominal organs: stomach, liver, colon, pancreas.
  • Interactive stands-panels to study the anatomy of the abdominal cavity and anterior abdominal wall. Interactive electrified stands are panels with separate light indication. Highly sensitive sensors are integrated into training equipment design to control the stand using interactive effects of receiving and transmitting devices. There are two modes of operation with the stand: “Training” and “Control”. In the “Training” mode, one of the subsections on the control panel located at the bottom of the stand is selected using the control element, a light indicator highlights this position, while the “Virtual Teacher” software depicts features and anatomical location of the organ or tissue. In the “Control” mode, the control software generates a random question. The appropriate LED indicator lights up when the answer is selected correctly or incorrectly.
  • A Monoblock with a pre-installed multimedia specialized software allows to demonstrate theoretical knowledge, monitor the progress, view photographic materials of pathological conditions of organs and video materials of diagnostic and therapeutic stages of various techniques and operations.

The multimedia computer software allows:

  • to monitor the progress of the conducted surveys by means of performed exercises video recording, followed by group analysis in seminar classes;
  • to study theoretical material;
  • to conduct seminars and lectures;
  • to conduct testing of the trainee based on the completed material;
  • to fill in and edit Monoblock information via a USB drive.

The program interface is simple and clear to the user, so input information can be edited without supplier representatives’ participation. The Monoblock has Internet access allowing remote consultations (lectures), remote information exchange, participation in medical conferences and forums.
