A simulator is a fragment of the lower limb and it is designed to practice the skills of arthroscopy and drainage of the knee joint:
- under ultrasound control;
- the “blind” method.
The material of the model is close to the real values in terms of its physical and acoustic properties.
The anatomy of the simulator includes:
- cruciate ligaments;
- capsular and extracapsular ligaments;
- synovial bag filled with fluid;;
- quadriceps tendon;
- distal femur;
- proximal tibia;
- subcutaneous adipose tissue;
- articular cartilage.
The simulator is intended for use in medical educational institutions and for accreditation of specialists in the field of traumatology and orthopedics.
