The simulator is a model of a pregnant woman body lower half, including thighs proximal fragments and a fetus model. The simulator base is attached to the table.
The simulator is designed to master obstetric assistance practice, fetus passage through the birth canal demonstration, and obstetric assistance provision.
The model of a woman in labor reproduces: the birth canal, external female genitalia, and the pelvic skeleton.
The model of the newborn is fully mobile with a hinged metal frame moving like a human skeleton and imitating anatomically correct movements in all joints. The large and small fontanelles and sagittal suture are realistically modeled on the fetus’s head. The sutures and fontanelles on the head of the newborn model are palpable. The fetus movement during birth process imitation is carried out manually.
The material of the simulator is as close as possible to natural values. The model allows to reliably convey the tactile sensations of the person attending the birth during obstetric aids and manipulations.
The simulator has:
- the ability to recreate and practice the biomechanism of childbirth with anterior occipital presentation;
- the ability to recreate and practice the biomechanism of childbirth with posterior occipital presentation;
- the ability to recreate and practice the biomechanism of childbirth with breech presentation of the fetus.
