A phantom is a model of the female genitalia that is designed for practicing of conducting a vaginal examination to assess the degree of opening of the cervix during childbirth. The material of the simulator in its physical properties is close to the natural values.
Models demonstrate 5 different cervical conditions:
Stage 1: no opening, no shortening.
Stage 2: opening 2 cm, smoothing 100 %.
Stage 3: opening 5 cm, smoothing 100 %.
Stage 4: opening 7 cm, smoothing 100 %.
Stage 5: opening 9 cm, smoothing 100 %.
The simulator is intended for use by students and cadets of universities and medical colleges in the course of accreditation.
