The simulator is a mannequin of a child under 1 year old and is designed to practice the following skills:
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
- endotracheal tube insertion;
- peripheral venous cannulation;
- lumbar puncture;
- needle thoracentesis for tension pneumothorax;
- chest drainage;
- urethral catheterization (male and female);
- intraosseous infusion;
- double nasotracheal intubation with chest rise;
- bag valve mask ventilation;
- direct laryngoscopy;
- videolaryngoscopy.
The simulator has a realistically designed chest skeleton: ribs, xiphoid process and sternum, enabling CPR techniques training.
Functional features:
- The skin imitation and bone structures are close to natural values in its physical properties creating maximum realism during manipulations.
- Each intraosseous insert is supplied pre-filled with liquid (single use with an intraosseous needle).
- Needle experiences realistic resistance when penetrating the bone marrow cavity.
Palpable landmarks:
- patella;
- tibial tuberosity.
Venous catheterization (upper limb, shoulder and foot):
- contains a dorsal venous arch;
- allows peripheral catheterization via the basilar or cephalic veins;
- manual activation of venous blood flow allows fluids to be withdrawn and injected, providing realistic blood backflow.
Urethral catheterization is confirmed by fluid flow. The simulator has interchangeable, realistic male and female genitalia.
Lumbar puncture:
- the model can be positioned in the required lateral recumbent position;
- palpable vertebral landmarks, including the iliac crest;
- hernia simulation can be inserted at L3-L4 and L4-L5;
- fluid reservoir is easily refilled;
- collection of cerebrospinal fluid simulation with correct needle insertion.
Needle thoracentesis for tension pneumothorax:
- palpable landmarks in the 2nd intercostal space along the midclavicular line and in the 5th intercostal space along the midaxillary line;
The training simulator is designed to equip medical classrooms and accreditation centers for pediatricians, life safety rooms and allows training in close to real conditions due to high-quality imitation of child anatomy and upper respiratory tract structure.
Equipment:
- Infant simulator;
- Respiratory tract lubricant;
- Artificial blood simulator;
- Set of decompression inserts;
- Set of drainage inserts;
- Insert for lumbar puncture;
- Replaceable genitals;
- Transport bag;
- Foam polyethylene mat;
- Product passport;
- Manual
