The simulator for practicing tamponade of a wound channel is designed to practice the skill of stopping external bleeding by tight tamponade of a wound with a local hemostatic agent, a gauze bandage. The simulator has the most realistic imitation of a wound channel with density close to human tissues to the touch.
It is possible to simulate massive bleeding. Blood spurts from the simulator.
The simulator is designed for 500 cycles with careful use.
Suitable for demonstrating the use of an occlusive dressing for hemopneumothorax.
The simulator is made based on research on wound ballistics, combat experience of instructors, and world standards of care.
