The simulator is a realistically made torso of an adult with anatomically accurate landmarks.
The simulator reproduces the anatomical features that play a key role in the course of intubation – physiological mobility of the head, neck, lower jaw and larynx, and the pleural cavity decompression in pneumothorax.
Trained skills:
- insertion of a pleural drainage tube;
- blunt dissection of the chest wall;
- digital examination of the pleural cavity;
- performing puncture decompression in case of tension pneumothorax;
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
- performing cricothyrotomy;
- manipulations on the airways;
- insertion of oro- and nasopharyngeal airways;
- tracheal intubation;
- percutaneous tracheostomy.
The simulator is equipped with replaceable consumables enabling repeated skill practice:
- neck skin;
- larynx insert;
- puncture decompression insert;
- pleural drainage insert.
The simulator is intended for use by students and cadets of higher and secondary specialized medical schools during the accreditation process.
