This model simulates a fragment of the small intestine with a mesentery sector that related to it. The mucous membrane of the intestinal wall in the model is highlighted by staining in red, the outer serous membrane is highlighted in yellow-brown. The polymer materials that are used in the manufacture provide elasticity of the intestinal wall and real sensations when suturing. The mesentery of the intestine has an imitation of the arteries, arcade anastomoses. It is used a hole at the root of the mesentery to fix the model.
The model can be used independently or can be placed in endoscopic simulators.
It is possible to work out skills:
- creation of inter-intestinal anastomoses,
- suturing of perforations,
- formation of the stump of the small intestine,
- mobilization of the intestine during resection.
The simulator is designed for use in medical educational institutions.
